Zann Takes The Programming Reins Of KHFI & KXXM

iHeartMedia CHR “Hits 106.1” KBKS Seattle APD/afternoon host Zann Fredlund is moving to Texas as Program Director of CHRs “Now 96.1” KXXM San Antonio and “96.7 Kiss-FM” KHFI Austin.

Fredlund joined KBKS as afternoon host in 2018. She has previously hosted middays at Cumulus CHR “Hot 93.3” KLIF-FM Dallas and Westwood One’s Hot AC and Hits Now formats, nights and afternoons at CHR “92.3 Now” WNOW-FM New York, and was morning show producer/co-host at “Wired 96.5” WRDW-FM Philadelphia.

Zann takes the KXXM programming duties that had been vacant since the passing of Russell Rush in October 2022. KHFI has not had a locally based PD since December 2020.

iHeartMedia announced today that Zann Fredlund has been named Program Director for the San Antonio and Austin, TX market, effective immediately.

As Program Director, Fredlund will be responsible for managing a talented team, curating engaging content, orchestrating the tone, and programming to elevating our online presence. She will report to Jason McCollim, Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia San Antonio & Austin.

Zann joins the Central Texas Market from iHeartMedia Seattle, where she most recently served as the Assistant Program Director for KBKS. She began his career at Wired 96.5 in Philadelphia and is a graduate of Temple University.
