Neuhoff Media launched Hot AC “Now 100.7” WWHX Normal/Bloomington IL at the stroke of midnight of the new year.
The former Rhythmic CHR “Hot 100.7” had been stunting as “Christmas 100.7” since November 1. Positioning as “Bloomington/Normal’s Best Music”, the station continues to target Cumulus’ market leading CHR 101.5 WBNQ, just now from the opposite side of their demos. The station launched with Hozier “Take Me To Church”, Jonas Brothers “Who’s In Your Head”, One Republic “Someday”, Maroon 5 – “Don’t Wanna Know”, and Olivia Rodrigo “Good 4 U”.
Wes Styles, Program Director of “Rock 96.7” WIHN and Variety Hits “97.9 Bob-FM” WBBE, adds those duties for WWHX. WWHX will also continue to carry University of Illinois basketball.
