As Joe Thomas’ Thomas Media prepares to close on the $275,000 purchase 1240 WTON Staunton VA and translators 98.9 W255DS Harrisonburg and 101.1 W266BQ Crozet from Stu-comm Inc, he has set a launch date of Saturday, May 25 for his new Conservative Talk format.
Thomas, who spent seventeen years as Program Director and morning host at Monticello Media’s “C-Ville 107.5” WCHV-FM Charlottesville until being fired after the acquisition was filed, will host mornings. He told the Staunton News-Leader that he’s waiting to hear from some other potential local hosts before announcing the rest of the lineup other than former WTON staffers Leland McCray and Joe Deck will broadcast high school football games this fall.
