Brian Demay Warm 98.5 WRRM CincinnatiCumulus Media AC “Warm 98.5” WRRM Cincinnati has announced the passing of Program Director/midday host Brian Demay from Stage 4 Renal Cell Carcinoma.

In a Facebook post the station wrote,

Dear Warm family,

Our hearts are broken today. We have lost our boss, our leader, our friend, our co-worker, our warrior, Brian Demay. Brian bravely fought cancer for the past few months, a battle he disclosed to his listeners only recently. Brian has been the Program Director and air personality here at Warm since the summer of 2016, a role he cherished and to which he dedicated himself fiercely. The only thing that gave Brian greater pride and joy was his family. We want to wrap his wife, Heather, his children, Connor and Darcy, his mother, Marianne, and his brothers, Pete and Drew, in our loving embrace right now, and let them know that they are not alone in their grief.

We know that through things like Wine Wednesday, his Corny Joke of the Day, and just spending time with you on the air every day that he brought a lot of joy to you. Please share with us any thoughts, well-wishes, and memories. And please, keep all of us in your thoughts.

Amanda and Cindy will be on the air to reminisce about Brian tomorrow starting at 6am.

Demay has been with WRRM since May 2016 and also served as Corporate AC Program Director for the company. He has also programmed Cumulus’ “Lite Rock 105.1” WWLI Providence RI form 2013-16, 99.5 WJBR Wilmington DE from 2011-13, and “Star 102.5” WTSS Buffalo NY from 2006-11. Demay has also served as Operations Manager for Mid-Atlantic Network in Fredericksburg VA, Clear Channel Charlottesville VA, and Clear 95 Inc.’s Dayton OH properties. Demay began his career in multiple roles at WDBI-FM Tawas City MI.

Demay is survived by his wife Heather and two children.
