After closing on their $625,000 purchase of Rock 92.5 WZUU Mattawan/Kalamazoo and Oldies “Cool 101” 100.9 WQXC-FM Allegan MI, Midwest Communications has begun simulcasting WQXC-FM on what had been Classic Hits “The Fat One” 930 WFAT/102.7 W274AQ Battle Creek.
The simulcast is now branding as “Cool FM” positioning as “Michigan’s Oldies” with a playlist centered in the 1970s. WQXC-FM rimshots the Kalamazoo market, with WFAT covering nearby Battle Creek.
