WQFM Rebrands As QFM With Playlist Shift

Times-Shamrock Hot AC “Q92.1” WQFM Nanticoke/Wilkes-Barre and simulcasters 100.1 WQFN Forest City and 102.7 W274AO Scranton has moved from its “90s & Now” positioned 90s/early 2000s based playlist to mostly current/recurrent based Hot AC, while rebranding as “QFM“.

Currently operating jockless, the station is now positioning as “Simply More Music”.

WQFM/WQFN registered a 1.9 share in the February 2022 Nielsen Audio ratings placing it well behind Audacy’s market leading CHR 98.5 WKRZ/107.9 WKRF 9.5 share. The station also fits in a competitive landscape with Cumulus Media’s combination of AC “Magic 93” WMGS and CHR “Hot 97.1” WBHT/95.7 WBHD with a 6.7 and 3.6 share respectively.
