WNCX PD Bill Louis Retires

After 34 years in middays and 25 years programming the station, Bill Louis will retire this month from Audacy Classic Rock 98.5 WNCX Cleveland.

A Cleveland native, Louis joined WNCX as midday host in September 1987 shortly after its flip to Classic Rock. He has served as Program Director since December 1996. Until the passing of afternoon host Michael Stanley earlier this year, WNCX had one of the most stable on-air lineups in the country with both Louis and Stanley being at the station for over 30 years.

On the station’s website Louis noted, “Everything has to end sometime, even something that means as much to me as hanging out with you. The last two years have taken their toll and I will retire at the end of the year. My health is fine, I’m just worn out. Thanks for being the greatest rock n roll audience in America. I love you all.”
