Good Karma Broadcasting Sports “ESPN 1000” WMVP Chicago has begun simulcasting on Hubbard’s 100.3 WSHE-HD2.
Emphasizing that over 50% of new cars come with HD Radio as standard equipment, the move allows WMVP to at least stake some availability on FM for drivers in the market. Audacy’s competing “670 The Score” WSCR is also heard in HD on 104.3 WBMX-HD2.
ESPN 1000, Chicago’s Home for Sports, is excited to announce a new HD2 channel to allow fans to hear ESPN 1000 shows and content on a digital FM station. As of today, fans can tune into 100.3 HD2, creating a third, convenient and accessible option for fans to listen to all their favorite ESPN 1000 shows and personalities.
“HD Radio has been around since 2002, and today over 50% of new cars have HD Radio as standard equipment. Our partnership with Hubbard Chicago will allow fans to hear our ESPN 1000 shows and White Sox baseball in crystal clear, digital FM. As of today, you can listen to Chicago’s Home for Sports on ESPN 1000, 100.3 HD2 and on your phone from anywhere on the ESPN Chicago app!” said ESPN Chicago Market Manager, Mike Thomas.
