Midwest Communications has moved 1290 WIRL Peoria IL from simulcasting one of its translators to another.
WIRL is now simulcasting Conservative Talk “Freedom 95.9” W240DM/WPBG-HD3 instead of Oldies “Superhits WIRL“, which has rebranded as “102.7 Superhits” as it remains on W274BM/WPBG-HD2. The move appears to be done to make the Conservative Talk programming heard across the rural areas of Central Illinois via the AM’s 5kW signal.
