After dropping the Frank Ski Show at the end of July, Howard University Adult R&B 96.3 WHUR Washington DC will debut “The Nina Brown and Joe Clair Afternoon Show” on Tuesday, September 3 at 3:00pm.
Brown had been co-hosting Ski’s syndicated show. She began her career in 2005 at WVEE Atlanta as an intern before quickly rising to producer of the Ski led “Frank and Wanda Morning Show” until its end in 2011. She followed Ski as producer of his show at 96.3 WHUR-FM Washington DC from 2013-15 and back at WVEE from 2018-20. After serving as Ski’s executive assistant and Brand Manager of Frank Ski Global, she then became co-host his morning show at “Kiss 104.1” WALR-FM Atlanta in 2021 until exiting last August and on his afternoon show from its launch at WHUR in August 2020 through its move to syndication in August 2022. WHUR dropped the show at the end of July. Brown separately worked at WXIA-TV Atlanta in 2011.
Clair hosted mornings on Audacy Hip Hop 95.5 WPGC from 2015 until exiting in June 2021. He previously spent time at WHUR co-hosting afternoons with Frank Ski and has also been heard as part of the syndicated Russ Parr Morning Show and time at WQHT New York, WVEE Atlanta, and SiriusXM’s Foxxhole. Clair is also a stand-up comedian, actor, and television host including hosting BET’s “Rap City” from 1994 to 1999.
