Audacy Sports 550 WGR Buffalo morning host Howard Simon announced this morning that he will be cutting down to appearing only three days a week.
Simon will continue to host mornings on WGR on Monday, Tuesday and Friday each week, while co-host Jeremy White will anchor the morning show on Wednesday and Thursday with producer Joe DiBiase taking on an increased role. Simon told the Buffalo News, “I’ve been thinking about this for a long time. It has been difficult to live up to the demands of the job. It’s a lot of work, a lot of preparation.” Simon also alluded at retiring completely in the near future and noted that he and the station will discuss his next steps following the conclusion of the upcoming football season.
Simon has been with WGR since 2004 after previous stints at WJJL, WBEN and Empire Sports Network.

In all honesty its become harder and harder for me to hold up to the demands of the job. I told my bosses about that and they were super supportive and helpful while putting together a plan to scale back my work schedule. In the meantime looking forward to a great football season
