WGOW Appoints Jed Mescon As Program Director/Morning Host

Cumulus Media has announced the appointment of Jed Mescon as Program Director of “Talk Radio 102.3” WGOW-FM Soddy-Daisy and “NewsRadio 1150” WGOW Chattanooga TN.

Mescon is best known in the market for his 28 years as morning anchor for WRCB-TV until departing in 2016 and has since held marketing positions locally for Erlanger Health System, TVFCU, and the Skyuka Hall School. He will also join Jim Reynolds and Bill Lockhart in mornings on WGOW-FM.

Mescon takes the roles that had been held by Kevin West until his retirement at the end of June.

Cumulus Media (NASDAQ: CMLS) announces that it has appointed Jed Mescon as Program Director and On-Air Host for Talk Radio 102.3 FM and 1150 AM/WGOW in Chattanooga, TN. Mescon will debut on WGOW on Monday, August 21st, and can be heard weekday mornings from 6:00am-10:00am.

Mescon brings 28 years of morning programming experience on local television to WGOW, and most recently worked in marketing and community engagement for Chattanooga’s Erlanger Health System, TVFCU, and the Skyuka Hall School. A beloved media personality, Mescon’s signature style, boundless energy, and passion for the community have made him a household name throughout the Chattanooga region.
