Less than two weeks after announcing the return of Jimmy Ray Dunn as afternoon host, Max Media Country “97.3 The Eagle” WGH-FM Norfolk VA has promoted him to Program Director and Music Director and midday host Karen West to Assistant Program Director.
Dunn returned to WGH-FM on August 1 as afternoon host marking his third stint at the station. He previously co-hosted mornings from 1991 to 1994 before returning a year later for a twenty year stint that ended in 2015. In between he hosted mornings at AAA “93.7 The Coast” WKOC and on WVEC-TV. He has been working in real estate and running his own webcaster since then.
West joined the station just after its flip to Country in 1990. She added Music Director duties in 2020.
They fill the programming slots that had been held by former Operations Manager Eddie Haskell until his exit last month.
