WFNZ Debuts Two New Midday Shows

92.7 WFNZ-FM Charlotte 610 WFNZ 102.5 The BlockRadio One Sports 92.7 WFNZ-FM Harrisburg/Charlotte NC has announced the debut of two new midday shows.

WFNZ Program Director Jeff Rickard will host “Charlotte Sports Today” from 10am to 12pm. Rickard, who joined the station in May, has previously hosted mornings for WFNI Indianapolis and shows at SiriusXM, ESPN Radio, Sporting News Radio, KKFN Denver, and Comcast’s CN8 regional television network in the northeast.

The station will also add Wes Bryant and Walker Mehl to host “Wes & Walker” from 12-3pm. Bryant serves as a host and producer for ACC Network’s digital properties. He spent last season as host and insider for Bally Sports Charlotte Hornets pre and post-game coverage. Mehl previously co-hosted mornings on “730 The Game” WZGV and hosts the “Locked On Hornets” podcast.

With the addition of the new shows, “The Clubhouse” hosted by Kyle Bailey will be trimmed to run from 3-6pm. Bailey also continues to host Hornets pre and post-game shows at the station.

The changes fill the lineup opening created by Nick Wilson’s move to co-host afternoons at Audacy’s “92.3 The Fan” WKRK Cleveland in July.
