West Virginia Radio Corporation flipped Classic Hits 99.5 WDZN Midland/Cumberland to Rock/Alternative this morning as “99.5 DZN“.
Positioning as the “Tri-States Rock Station”, the move pits the station up against Forever Media Classic Rock “Rocky 106.1” WRQE as it takes some potshots on-air. WDZN is focusing on music from the 90s and 2000s with some currents under Program Director Logan Scott.
WDZN launched its new brand at 9am today with Nirvana “Smells like Teen Spirit”, Linkin Park “One Step Closer”, Jack White “Taking Me Back”, and Red Hot Chilli Peppers “Snow (Hey Oh):.
