iHeartMedia shifted Country 92.1 WCTQ Venice/Sarasota and 103.1 W276CR Bradenton FL to Classic Country over the Labor Day Weekend.
The station is now positioning as “Country’s All Time Favorites For The Suncoast.” The move takes WCTQ out of direct format competition with the two Tampa based Country outlets in iHeartMedia’s sister “US 103.5” WFUS and Beasley’s 99.5 WQYK as well as iHeart’s “Kix Country 92.9” WIKX Charlotte Harbor, which also serves the Sarasota market.
WCTQ continues to feature Maverick and Lulu in mornings, “Mix 100.7” WMTX Tampa morning co-host Brody in middays, WFUS Tampa MD/midday host Sarah Jacobs in afternoons, and “93.7 The Bull” KSD St. Louis APD/afternoon host Dusty Panhorst in evenings.
