WBUR Promotes Tiziana Dearing To Morning Edition Anchor

Tiziana Dearing 90.9 WBUR BostonPublic News/Talk 90.9 WBUR Boston midday host Tiziana Dearing will move to mornings to anchor Morning Edition starting Wednesday, September 18.

Dearing has hosted “Radio Boston”, that currently airs in the 11am and 3pm hours, since 2019. Before joining the station she was a professor at Boston College’s School of Social Work and ran non-profits including Boston Rising and Catholic Charities for the Archdiocese of Boston.

In an internal news story making the announcement, WBUR CEO Margaret Low called Dearing a “singular talent — an extraordinary host with deep ties to this city and region.” Dearing commented, “I intend to bring every aspect of that knowledge, that life, those relationships to bear on how we help you understand your neighborhood, your state, and your world.”

Her move to Morning Edition follows the departure of Rupa Shenoy, who announced her planned exit in May after being unable to come to terms on a new contract after taking over the daypart in October 2021.
