Way Media has agreed to purchase 99.1 W256CD Fultondale/Birmingham AL from Red Mountain Ventures for $350,000.
The translator is currently leased to iHeartMedia, which programs it as Alternative “Alt 99.1” via 103.7 WQEN-HD3. The translator operates with 130w/349m.
Way Media already owns 89.9 W210CA Birmingham, which operates from the same tower as W256CD with 180w/349m, and 106.3 W292EI Warrior covering the northern suburbs of Birmingham. Like W292EI, W256CD will rebroadcast SummitMedia’s 95.7 WBHJ-HD2 Midfield. Both translators currently air Way Media’s “Way-FM” Christian AC network.
