Longtime programmer/consultant turned syndicated talk host ‘Walter Sterling’ Sabo will join Audacy Conservative Talk 1210 WPHT Philadelphia to host a new show weeknights from 9pm-12am.
“Walter Sterling at Night” will be an extension of his syndicated “Sterling on Sunday”, which has aired on WPHT since its launch in 2014. Sabo stated, “Late-night radio is golden media time for a live program. It’s a one-on-one stage for lighter conversations, serving as morning drive for late-shift doctors, nurses, bus drivers, hotel managers, security staff and more. Thank you, David Yadgaroff, Greg Stocker, Jeff Sottolano and the incredible programming and engineering teams at Audacy. Over the years, I’ve made strong connections with Talk Radio 1210 WPHT listeners and look forward to building them as I join weeknights!”
Audacy Philadelphia SVP/Market Manager David Yadgaroff commented, “Walter has demonstrated the importance of the late-night talk radio with his Sunday night nationally syndicated program and has welcomed his listeners, who he refers to as ‘friends on the radio,’ to unpack their day-to-day lives. He’s made strides at Talk Radio 1210 WPHT for a decade, and we’re ecstatic to finally bring his entertaining brand to the Delaware Valley five nights a week.”
Prior to launching his weekly show, Sabo was a well-known Talk programmer and consultant where he helped launch stations such as “New Jersey 101.5” and “Real Radio” in Los Angeles and Orlando, Merlin Media’s “FM News“, Sirius Satellite Radio, and held executive roles at ABC and NBC Radio in the late 1970s/early 80s.
Sterling will replace Dana Loesch’s syndicated show in the 9pm-12am timeslot.
