WABC Launches Cats & Cosby

770 WABC New York John Catsimatidis Cats Rita CosbyRed Apple Media Talk 770 WABC New York has announced that station owner John ‘Cats’ Catsimatidis will add Rita Cosby as co-host of the daily 5pm hour “Cats At Night” he hosts.

In addition to the newly coined “Cats & Cosby”, Cosby will continue to host a WABC based syndicated show from 10pm to 12am. She will also serve as an occasional contributor to Catsimatidis’s Sunday morning “The Cats Roundtable”. Cosby returned to WABC as late night host in March 2021. She previously spent five years at the station from 2013 to 2018 in multiple roles including afternoon co-host, Political Editor, and midday co-host. Cosby worked as an anchor for Fox News Channel from 1995-2005 and then hosted a nightly show at MSNBC from 2005-2007. In 2012-13, she spent a year as afternoon host at 710 WOR New York.

77 WABC Radio is proud to announce Emmy Award-Winning journalist Rita Cosby is joining John Catsimatidis, owner of Red Apple Media and 77 WABC, as co-host of the newly named daily 5 to 6pm Cats & Cosby program. Cosby will also occasionally join Catsimatidis on his nationally syndicated Sunday morning program, The Cats Roundtable.

Catsimatidis, who is known for bringing common-sense-thinking to a variety of political and social issues and a string of A-List public figures to his top-rated programs, stated, “I’ve known Rita Cosby for many years and have always deeply admired her incredible journalistic skills. Catsimatidis also hosts his nationally syndicated Sunday morning Cats Roundtable program, which features a guest list that surpasses any Sunday morning radio or TV news shows. The Cats Roundtable is heard on 77 WABC in New York from 8 to10amET every Sunday, with one hour of local news and interviews, followed by the nationally syndicated portion of the show which focuses on national and international topics.

Cosby also has her own top-rated nationally syndicated show on 77 WABC every weeknight from 10pmET to Midnight, which features spirited talk and interviews with often hard-to-get newsmakers. Having received seven Gracie Awards and named Most Influential Woman Legend of the Year in Radio, Rita has interviewed in her accomplished career more than thirty world leaders, including seven US Presidents, and numerous headliners from all walks of life.
