VSiN has announced a pair of new shows including a new morning show as former MLB pitcher Jensen Lewis joins Dave Ross for “VSiN By The Books” from 7-10am Eastern.
Additionally the network has partnered with RotoWire to bring in their Jeff Erickson and Nick Whalen as the new hosts of “Prop Points” from 2-3pm Eastern. The move will see the show expand its focus from specifically on the NFL to add coverage of basketball, baseball, hockey and other relevant content.
“VSiN By The Books” fills the slot that had been held by “The Lombardi Line” until Michael Lombardi’s move to the University of North Carolina to serve as General Manager of their football team in December. Lewis most recently served as a television analyst for Cleveland Guardians games and has hosted for SiriusXM’s MLB Network Radio, WTAM Cleveland, and WBNS-FM Columbus as well as a game analyst for college baseball on ESPN.
VSiN EVP Talent/Programming Steve Cohen commented, “VSiN covers the football season like no other network can, but now is the time of year when the team can really flex its muscles across other sports betting markets, including basketball, hockey, golf, baseball, tennis and horse racing. If you can bet on it, our team is analyzing it, and as we continue to expand our audience, you’ll see us giving even more sports fans everything they need to know about the current sports betting menu.”
In regards to the new iteration of “Prop Points”, Cohen said, ““With increased fan interest in the prop betting markets, we’re proud of having worked with the Guru, John Hansen, to create a strong product with our “Prop Points” show last fall. Nick and Jeff will help us expand coverage beyond football to deliver VSiN fans the information they need across NBA, MLB, NHL, Golf, UFC and beyond. The fantasy expertise the RotoWire team brings will bolster our content in this area while delivering the same level of credible, actionable content that VSiN fans have come to expect.”
RotoWire co-founder Peter Schoenke added, “This is truly a milestone moment for RotoWire. We have seen tremendous growth for our video business over the last several years as the demand for this type of content only rises. Now, working with a top-notch sports betting media brand like VSiN, we’re taking the distribution of our insights to the next level.”
