Voice Radio Network has begun operating Forever Media’s 1510 WXCY Salem NJ/Wilmington DE via LMA ahead of an upcoming purchase of the station.
The lease commenced on Friday, October 6 to give Voice Radio Network’s Spanish CHR “Maxima 104.1” W281CM Millville NJ a new parent signal to replace Beasley Media’s 99.5 WJBR-HD2 following that station’s sale to VCY America. Terms of the sale were not included in the LMA contract, however Voice Radio Network will pay $5000 per month for the lease. The station has also applied for new WOCQ call letters to take effect on October 12.
The Edwin Andrade led Voice Radio Network owns five stations in Southern Delaware and the Eastern Shore of Maryland including similarly formatted “Maxima 95.3” WKDB Laurel DE/Salisbury MD. W281CM holds a Construction Permit to relocate to 92.9 with 250w/110m from a site in North Star DE.
WXCY previously simulcasted Forever Country 103.7 WXCY-FM Havre de Grace MD along with 96.9 W245CJ/93.7 WSTW-HD3 Wilmington.
