Following the abrupt end of Russ Parr’s show at the end of 2023, Radio One Adult R&B “Majic 102.3/92.7” WMMJ Bethesda MD/Washington DC and WDCJ Prince Frederick MD launched a new morning show hosted by midday host Vic Jagger and Huggy Lowdown on Monday, January 8.
Jagger has hosted middays on WMMJ/WDCJ since November 2016 after holding multiple roles at the company since 2003 including assistant producer of the Russ Parr Morning Show, PD/MD of Parr’s weekend countdown show, and hosting weekends on Hip Hop 93.9 WKYS. A touring comedian, Lowdown previously was a regular contributor to the Tom Joyner Morning Show and had been making weekly appearances on Jagger’s midday show.
Replacing Jagger in middays will be Reach Media’s Amanda Seales Show. The actress/comedian/activist debuted her syndicated show in November 2022 on 100.3 WRNB Philadelphia and is also heard on Radio One stations in Charlotte, Columbus, Houston, and Richmond.
