Some talent movement has been made at iHeartMedia Pittsburgh.
Val Porter moves from the morning show at Classic Rock 102.5 WDVE after 23 years to join Jonny Hartwell in mornings at Classic Hits “94.5 3WS” WWSW. Porter first joined WDVE in 1994 following a stint at 95.1 WRKU Grove City PA/Youngstown OH. She rose to Music Director in 1999 and had been part of the WDVE Morning Show since 2001.
Porter will also take over the evening shift on WDVE that has been held by Russ ‘Whip’ Rose since July 2019. Rose spent 26 years at sister Alternative “105.9 The X” WXDX from 1995 until departing in 2021 to focus on his auto-detailing business full-time.
We’re told further movement is coming as WDVE will fill Porter’s slot on the WDVE Morning Show led by host Randy Baumann.
