A two-day radio gathering is planned in London for September as Tuning In and Radio Festival take place in the same week this year.
Radiocentre’s flagship conference will be taking place on Tuesday 17th September and The Radio Academy’s annual Radio Academy Festival on Wednesday 18th September.
Tuning In, which is once again at Picturehouse Central in London, will bring together professionals from the commercial radio, audio and advertising sectors for a morning that features speakers, new research, case studies and the latest industry trends.
Impact Amplified is the theme of this year’s Radio Academy Festival which returns to the Royal College of Physicians at Regent’s Park. A range of industry speakers will dissect the role of audio and radio in turning up the volume and catching the ears of audiences everywhere.
From the personal connection between presenters and listeners to the far-reaching change powered by communities; podcasters, broadcasters and audio creators come together to uncover new ways of amplifying the meaning and increasing the impact of individual stories and social moments.
Radiocentre’s CEO, Matt Payton said: “The UK’s radio and audio industry is thriving, with more people tuning in than ever before and opportunities for advertisers continuing to grow. With so much to celebrate and showcase this should be a great week for the medium, as both events shine a light on the exciting developments taking place across the industry.”
The Radio Academy’s Managing Director, Aradhna Tayal Leach said: “It’s so important to connect as an industry, to share ideas and best practice. It is at these events that we meet unexpected collaborators and shape the audio landscape. As an industry and a community, we look forward to coming together to inspire and be inspired, and to make a difference.”
You can sign up for Tuning In here and tickets are on sale for the Radio Academy Festival here.
More details about each event’s agenda will be revealed in due course.
