After promoting a flip to Spanish “Latino Radio Service” since it began stunting as the first all-Christmas station of the 2024 holiday season back on October 1, New Albany Broadcasting Company’s 1570 WLRS New Albany IN and 92.5 W223DK Louisville KY instead flipped to Oldies “Kentuckiana’s True Oldies” on New Year’s Eve.
Operated by Pure Radio LLC via LMA, the station is utilizing programming from the “Scott Shannon’s True Oldies Channel” network but will also feature longtime Louisville area programmer/host Joe Fedele. Fedele most recently served as PD/morning host at Classic Hits 620 WAKY/103.5 WAKY-FM from 2014 until retiring at the end of 2022. He also has been heard in the market at 103.1 WRKA and had a 22 year run at 106.9 WVEZ.
