A trio of talents were let go from Beasley Media Tampa earlier in July.
Rhythmic CHR “Wild 94.1” WLLD Lakeland cut ties with their afternoon show “The Nut House” hosted by Kevin ‘Stiffy’ Cummings and Broderick ‘Buckwheat’ Scott. The duo both began their careers at then “Wild 98.7” in the early 2000s and rose up through promotions to weekends, nights, and afternoons.
Cummings wrote on Instagram, “After almost 23 years at WiLD, it came to an end on 7/7/23. What a ride it’s been! I started as a kid with a part-time job passing out shirts and stickers for extra beer money. Little did I know that I would end up being part of a hugely successful show during P.M. drive. To everyone who supported us from the very beginning, THANK YOU! To the listeners who chose two goofballs to entertain you, you were everything to us and I will miss you the most. From the very beginning Buck and I decided that our show wasn’t going to be about us. It was going to be about ALL OF US, and YOU were a huge part of our success. You were there when I got married, when I had kids. You were there for every crack we fired at each other. You got our playful personalities and you were there through so many laughs. I said it a lot and truly meant it. THERE WAS NO US, WITHOUT YOU!!”
