Tony McGinty has returned to iHeartMedia Hot AC 98.1 WKDD Munroe Falls/Akron OH as Program Director and morning co-host.
He will return to his former role co-hosting mornings alongside Regional SVP/Programming Keith Kennedy filling the role that had been held by Kat Jackson. Jackson moved to a mostly off-air commercial production role after stepping down from mornings at WKDD and middays at Classic Hits 105.7 WMJI Cleveland last month.
McGinty previously co-hosted mornings at WKDD from 2013 until January 2020. After eleven months hosting mornings on Classic Rock “Rock 106.9” WRQK-FM Canton, he departed the company in their Fall 2020 layoffs. At the time of his exit, McGinty also served as Digital Content Coordinator for Akron, Canton, Cleveland and Youngstown. He previously has served as morning show producer at WAKR Akron, WGAR Cleveland, and WTHT Portland ME.
