Just seven months after joining SummitMedia as Vice President of Country Programming and Talent Development and Program Director of Country 104.7 WZZK Birmingham, ‘Major Tom’ Hanrahan has resigned effective today.
Hanrahan joined SummitMedia in March after spending two decades at iHeart Birmingham where he also served as PD/afternoon host at Country “102.5 The Bull” WDXB Pelham and AC “Magic 96.5” WMJJ until his exit in August 2022. Hanrahan has also previously served as OM of Clear Channel Panama City FL, Program Director of “South 106.1” WSTH Columbus GA, and worked on-air at multiple Birmingham stations including WMJJ, WZZK, WODL, and WKXX.
