The Free Toys at Christmas Appeal on Radio Ninesprings has received over 1600 toys for giving to young people.
The toys will go to people in hospitals, care facilities, and those in less fortunate situations.
Listeners, businesses, and sponsors of the radio station donated the gifts, which were sorted into age-appropriate categories and delivered to various places around the Yeovil and South Somerset area for giving out.
Steve Calis from Calis Media who supported the initiative said: “It’s been an incredible year for giving and I still can’t quite believe how generous everyone has been.
“I was lucky enough to be on many of the deliveries this year and every beneficiary said what a difference receiving one of our toys had made to their Christmas.”
Radio Ninesprings Station Manager, Steve Haigh said: “I want to say a big thank you to our listeners, local businesses and sponsors for their generosity – without their donations this campaign would never have been possible.”
Steve Calis can also be heard presenting his music show on Radio Ninesprings every Tuesday evening between 7 and 9pm.
