After an hour of farewell songs, Sound Management flipped Classic Hits “Throwback 102.3” WYET New Carlisle/South Bend IN to Adult R&B “The New 102.3” at noon today.
Positioning as “Michiana’s Home For R&B and Old School”, the new brand is launching with 10,000 songs commercial-free. The first songs heard were 50 Cent “In Da Club”, Tevin Campbell “Can We Talk”, and Beyoncé “Break My Soul”.
The flip comes ahead of the sale of Partnership Radio’s cross-town “Mix 106.3” WUBU South Bend to VCY America, which will flip the station to their Christian network. WYET is actively promoting that when WUBU flips for listeners to switch over to them.
