With the expectation of a rebrand or outright format change after Christmas, iHeartMedia Rhythmic AC “Movin 107.7” WMOV-FM Norfolk VA is promoting the launch of a new morning show debuting Monday, January 6.
WMOV-FM will debut of Premiere Networks’ “The Fred Show” as the station will become the second syndication affiliate for the “103.5 Kiss-FM” WKSC-FM Chicago based morning show joining “G105” WDCG Raleigh NC. Hosted by Chris ‘Fred’ Frederick, the show also features Kaelin, Rufio, Paulina, Showbiz Shelly, Jason Brown and Keke. Formerly known as ‘Brotha Fred’, Frederick joined WKSC at the start of 2011 after previously hosting mornings for the company’s “96.1 The Beat” WIBT Charlotte (where he pulled double duty hosting “Fox News Edge” for WCCB-TV in Charlotte) and afternoons at “96.7 Kiss-FM” KHFI Austin.
One of the Fred Show co-hosts, ‘Showbiz Shelly’ is based in Norfolk, and also hosts middays on WMOV-FM as Michelle Love.
WMOV-FM had been carrying the KBIG-FM Los Angeles based “Valentine in the Morning”.
