talkSPORT is to exclusively broadcast the match between Amir Khan and Kell Brook.
The fight follows talkSPORT’s previous coverage of big fights including Fury versus Wilder III and regular boxing content across the schedule including talkSPORT’s Fight Night programme on Saturdays.
The much-anticipated fight is taking place on February 19th in Manchester with all the build-up and undercard fights live on talkSPORT from 7.30pm in partnership with BOXXER.
The network will also exclusively broadcast another big grudge match – Chris Eubank Jr v Liam Williams, which will be live from The Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff on February 5th.
Adam Catterall will once again host talkSPORT’s Fight Night coverage across these fights alongside Gareth A Davies, Spencer Oliver and Andy Clarke bringing all the build-up, the bout itself and all the ringside reaction and analysis for these three fights. They will be joined by Welterweight star Conor Benn to analyse all the action.
Head of talkSPORT Lee Clayton said: “Khan versus Brook is shaping up to be one of the big sporting events of 2022 and talkSPORT will be there for all the preview, build up, live action and analysis.
“Our Bad Blood documentary will explore the great grudge matches in boxing history and get our listeners in the mood for this huge British rivalry. talkSPORT listeners love boxing, and our heavyweight team will bring all the action to life from the ringside across these three fights.”
talkSPORT is producing a special documentary on Sunday February 13th inspired by the rivalry of Kell Brook and Amir Khan. Bad Blood looks at Boxing’s fiercest rivalries, taking a unique peek into boxing’s history and looks at rivalries that have spilt over into hatred.
Amir Khan said: “This is going to be a massive fight and a masterclass for talkSPORT listeners in destroying Kell – I think he’ll need to retire after this fight. talkSPORT always do a top job with their boxing coverage and listeners can look forward to hearing a comfortable defeat for Kell Brook.”
Kell Brook said: “I’m looking forward to this fight. He’s in cuckoo land, and he’s going to know real quick when that bell rings and I’m chucking leather at him.
“It’s all animosity from my side and I think it is from him. There’s no love lost. I don’t like him. He doesn’t like me and I want to punch him hard.”
BOXXER Founder and CEO, Ben Shalom said: “talkSPORT is a fantastic platform for boxing. They’ve been a great partner in our first events and we’re delighted they’ve won the rights to exclusively broadcast Eubank v Williams and Khan v Brook. We look forward to a huge few weeks for British boxing and huge coverage from the whole talkSPORT and News UK teams.”
