talkSPORT is to broadcast live from the Olympic Games Paris 2024 and has today announced its line-up to provide coverage.
Reporters will feature ten Team GB medal winners including iconic Olympians Dame Kelly Holmes, Tessa Sanderson and Sir Steve Redgrave.
Broadcasting from the Olympics for the very first time, talkSPORT will be live from Paris from the 26th July.
talkSPORT’s broadcast of the 2024 games will showcase over 250 hours of live coverage across the network and has British Olympians on side, with 21 gold, silver and bronze medals between them.
From 6am to 10pm, the talkSPORT Network will be live with Olympics coverage. Over on talkSPORT2, a daily Olympics breakfast show will build up to the day’s action from 8am to 10am, with the later shows running from 10am to 2pm, and 2pm to 6pm, topped off with a Olympics Kick Off hosted by talkSPORT’s Natalie Sawyer live from Paris every evening, starting with the opening ceremony on 26th July where Natalie will be joined by Dame Kelly Holmes.
Broadcasting and live streaming from a rooftop location in Central Paris for the first week, talkSPORT then moves to Stade De France for the athletics, and will also be live from Roland Garros in the second week for coverage of the boxing finals.
There will be a talkSPORT Olympics Daily podcast with a round up of each day’s action hosted by Natalie Sawyer. Natalie will be joined by a host of ex-Olympians including former silver medalist swimmer Jazz Carlin and former hockey gold-medalist Alex Danson.
Javelin legend Tessa Sanderson and sprinter Adam Gemili will be on point for the athletics, with Spencer Oliver taking on the boxing, Molly Renshaw overseeing swimming, Polly Swann and Jack Beaumont on rowing, with Rocky Clarke on rugby sevens.
The commentary team will bring even more analysis and expertise. Long jumper and three-time Paralympic medallist Stef Reid will be live from the Stade De France when the athletics starts with their morning sessions, with the full Paris 2024 presenting line up completed by Nigel Adderley, Ian Danter, and Joe Shennan.
Taking the reins as talkSPORT’s lead commentators are Nigel Adderley (athletics), John Anderson (swimming), Dave Farrar (boxing), Alfie Reynolds (rugby sevens), James Fielden & Olly Clink (football), Ian Danter (rowing), Graham Willgoss (cycling), Charlotte Richardson & Georgie Heath (hockey) and Joe Shennan (various).
talkSPORT’s reporters across the games this summer include Vaishali Bhardwaj (swimming), Gabbie Partington and Sean O’Brien (golf), Rupert Bell and Lizzie Kelly (equestrian), Alfie Reynolds (tennis) and Ian Abrahams (football)
John Cushing (rowing, canoeing & gymnastics), Michael Weadock (ceremonies, triathlon & athletics), Jo Ankier (boxing & athletics) and Katie Shanahan (hockey, judo & cycling) will be reporting from the thick of the action in and around Paris on their respective events.
