Nation Radio Scotland is expanding its hours of Scottish originated content as Suzie McGuire takes on new shows and Gavin Wallace joins the station on Sundays.
Suzie, who previously worked for Radio Clyde for 30 years, will present a new evening show weeknights 7-11pm and a Saturday afternoon music show between 2-6pm. Gavin takes on Sunday mornings from 10am.
Talking about the new shows, Suzie said: “It’s been great to have been on the journey with Nation as they have grown to become one of Scotland’s biggest stations.
“I’m looking forward to entertaining Scotland in the evening with great music, chat and features, whilst the nation winds down at the end of the working day. On Saturdays, I’ll have Scotland’s best alternative to the football, with great music, fun and good company.”
Nation’s Executive Chairman Jason Bryant said: “We’re continuing to invest in Scottish radio talent. Nation Radio is now a significant commercial media brand in Scotland and, with our market share already up significantly in the past 12 months, we’re delighted to have Suzie and Gavin leading our charge to grow evening and weekend audiences on Nation.”
Suzie’s new show starts Monday Feb 12th and Gavin starts Sunday 18 February.
Nation Radio Scotland recently recorded its highest ever audience of 133,000 weekly listeners and over 1.1 million weekly listening hours across Glasgow, Paisley, Edinburgh and Stirling.
