‘Supa Cindy’ Doucet has announced her upcoming resignation from mornings at Cox Media Group Hip Hop “99 Jamz” WEDR after 25 years at the station.
In a social media video over the weekend, Doucet told her followers that she was stepping down to focus on her happiness and mental health, “I’ve kind of outgrown this place. I have nowhere else to go.” She then followed, “I have reached the ceiling in the room I am in, limiting myself when I know what greatness I possess. We have to be realistic; when something no longer serves you, you can only ignore the signs for so long.”
Cindy began her career at WEDR as an intern in 2000 and rose through the ranks at the station. After a long-run in afternoons she moved to mornings in September 2022 to form the “Pac Jam Morning Show” with Randall ‘DJ Nasty 305’ Floyd. She also has been part of VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop Miami”.
Supa Cindy’s departure follows the exit of WEDR afternoon host ‘Julezz’ Castanon last month.
