SummitMedia has promoted Maurice DeVoe to Senior Vice President of Programming.
DeVoe will oversee and manage the programming strategy and operations of the company’s Hip Hop, R&B, Gospel and Rhythmic CHR stations. He will be responsible for innovations and trends, strategic planning, and content. Devoe originally joined the company in March 2020 as Operations Manager at their Greenville SC cluster and a year later relocated to Birmingham with his rise to VP/Programming for those formats. Prior to joining SummitMedia, DeVoe was Program Director of iHeartMedia Hip Hop “100.3 The Beat” KMJM-FM St. Louis and spent sixteen years at Cumulus Media in Dallas and Kansas City and also Corporate PD for Urban and Rhythmic formats.
Devoe stated, “I’m looking forward to expanding my role on the programming team as SVP while I continue to oversee our Rhythmic Top 40 and Urban Stations. We have a lot of positive things happening in our company, and I’m very excited to be a part of it.”

Devoe joins John Olsen as Senior Vice Presidents of Programming at SummitMedia. J’Michael Francois, who joined the company yesterday as VP/Programming for R&B and Gospel will report to Devoe. In addition to those stations, Devoe will be directly responsible for Hip Hop “95.7 Jamz” WBHJ Birmingham, Rhythmic CHR “Hot 98.1” WHZT and Hip Hop “Streetz 99.5” WJMZ-HD3 Greenville SC, Rhythmic CHR “Power 104.3” KPHW Honolulu, and Rhythmic CHR “Hot 104.5” WKHT Knoxville TN.
