After nearly fifteen years in the market, Steve ‘Kekeluv’ Kicklighter has exited as afternoon host at Townsquare Media Hot AC “Mix 106” KCIX Garden City/Boise.
In an Instagram post he wrote, “I gave you my all. Unfortunately, That wasn’t enough for the out of town mgt team. I was just let go.”
Kicklighter spent the majority of his tenure in Boise at CHR “103.5 Kiss-FM” KSAS-FM Caldwell from 2007 until June 2020 when he was shifted to afternoons at KCIX. During his tenure at KSAS-FM, Kicklighter served as Program Director and hosted both mornings and afternoons. At one time he held the world record for longest continuous radio broadcast.
Prior to his arrival in Boise in 2007, Kicklighter programmed Hip Hop “Power 99” WMPW Memphis, “Wild 103.9” KYWL Spokane, and 92.9 KFAT Anchorage AK. He also worked on-air at KUBE Seattle and KBXX Houston.
