Westwood One has announced that Steve Harmon will take over as host of the weekly syndicated “Country Gold” from Terri Clark starting the week of September 7.
Harmon will continue in his role as morning host for Westwood One’s “Mainstream Country” network. The Country Radio Hall of Famer is best known for his teaming with Scott Evans in mornings at KPLX Dallas from 1988 to 1995 and WXTU Philadelphia from 1998 to 2001 and hosting Westwood One’s “Weekly Country Top 30 with Harmon and Evans”. Harmon also has served as a producer for The Kidd Kraddick Show and WBGG Miami’s Paul and Young Ron Show.
Clark had hosted “Country Gold” since April 2016 when she replaced Alabama’s Randy Owen as host of the show.
