Steve Fehder Joins SummitMedia As Louisville Market President

SummitMedia has announced the addition of Steve Fehder as President of their Louisville business.

Fehder joins SummitMedia from Kensington Digital Media where he was serving as Market Manager for Classic Hits “94.5 Hippie Radio” WHPY-FM Bellevue/Nashville TN. Earlier in his career Fehder served as GM for what is now SummitMedia’s “Mix 106.9” WVEZ Louisville for Prism Radio Partners and later founded Gulf Coast Radio Partners which would be bought by Triad Broadcasting leading to Fehder spending over a decade as Senior VP of Operations for the company.

Fehder succeeds Todd Pitt, who departed the company earlier this year.

SummitMedia, LLC welcomes Steve Fehder as President SummitMedia Louisville, where he will lead stations WQNU-FM, WVEZ-FM, WSFR-FM AND WRKA-FM.

With over 35 years of experience in radio and media sales, management, and ownership, Fehder is no stranger to WVEZ, as he managed the station for Prism Radio Partners in the 90s. Fehder was also co-founder and managing partner of Gulf Coast Radio Partners, and subsequently became an original member of Triad Broadcasting’s executive management team, serving as Senior VP of Operations for over 10 years.

Carl Parmer, SummitMedia CEO stated, “We are very pleased for Steve to lead our incredible Louisville team. He knows and loves the city, and we are very excited for our future.”

Fehder, who most recently served as Market Manager for Kensington Digital Media in Nashville, returns home to Louisville to join SummitMedia.

“I am excited to be back home in Louisville where my career started,” Fehder says. “I am extremely proud to be leading SummitMedia Louisville’s great staff and heritage products.”
