Alan Stockmeister’s Jackson County Broadcasting continues its expansion in southeastern OH and now across the Ohio River into West Virginia with the purchase of four stations and two translators from various holding companies of Edward Baker for $1.15 million. The stations included in the deal are Big River Radio’s “Big Country 99.5” WBYG and CHR “The Q” 1030 WTHQ/94.1 W231CY Point Pleasant WV, Positive Radio Group Inc. of Ohio’s Classic Hits “K92.1” WYVK Middleport and 1390 WMPO Middleport-Pomeroy/99.9 W260DF Athens, and Positive Alternative Radio’s 103.7 W297CE Middleport. Steve Clendenin’s Maryland Media One returns 106.3 WYAY Bolivia/Wilmington NC to Jeff and Christy Andrulonis’ Sweet Tea Radio LLC to pay-off the $300,128.51 due on the promissory note from the $400,000 purchase of the station in 2021. All sums accrued after May 23 from the note will be added to the $425,000 remaining on the note for the $500,000 purchase Oldies “Carolina Gold” 93.9 WGLD-FM Atlantic Beach/Myrtle Beach SC, which WYAY currently simulcasts.

Chuck Marsh’s Blue Ridge Media Partners will acquire Classic Hits “Kool 95.3” WXBX Rural Retreat, Oldies 660 WLOY/99.3 W227DS Rural Retreat, and Country 1280 WYVE/99.9 W260DI Wytheville VA from Three Rivers Media Corporation for $495,000.

M&M Broadcasters sells “Fox Sports Central Texas” 1330 KTON Cameron/93.9 K230CH Temple TX to Armor of God Catholic Radio Apostolate for $460,000. The buyer owns Catholic 106.9 KOOV Kempner/Killeen.
