Station Sales Week of 9/15

The Brad Moran led Lubbock Public Media will acquired Community Broadcast Partners LLC Red Dirt Country “105.7 The Red Dirt Rebel” KRBL Idalou/Lubbock TX. The station will be converted to non-commercial status upon closing. The sale contract was omitted from the filing, but the deal is structured with Ramar Communications and FLP Ramar, Ltd. acquiring the commercial and real estate assets. Moran is President of Ramar Communications, which owns four FMs, one AM, and an LPTV in Lubbock.

Burbach of DE continues its West Virginia sell-off as Country “Froggy 92.7” WGIE Clarksburg to Tom Susman’s Vandalia Media Partners 2 for $100,000. Susman also owns Country “93.1 The Wolf” WJEH-FM Racine OH and 50% of Conservative Talk 1360 WMOV/93.5 W228DJ Ravenswood and 106.9 W295DM Point Pleasant.

Townsquare Media converts its LMA of “98.7 Jack-FM” KTXN-FM Victoria TX into a purchase from Broadcast Equities Texas, Inc. for $159,030. Townsquare has operated KTXN-FM since August 2010.

John David Linder and Lynn Ketelsen’s Lakeland Media LLC is acquiring Steven Linder’s Lakeland Broadcasting Co. for $1.525 million. The stations included in the deal are Hot AC “Q102” 102.5 KQIC Willmar, Classic Hits “106.5 The Train” KLFN Sunburg, and News/Talk 1340 KWLM/96.3 K242CF Willmar and 101.1 K266CM Sunburg MN. The deal also includes a separate $150,000 land purchase and a $442,635.22 goodwill purchase.

In a related deal, Lynn Ketelsen and John David Linder’s Seagrape TR will acquire “Big Country 100.1” KOLV Olivia MN from Steven Linder’s Bold Radio Inc. for $425,000.

Along with selling two AMs in western North Carolina, Todd Fowler’s Skyline Media is acquiring AC “Xtra 99.1” WXGM-FM Gloucester/Williamsburg and “Good Time Oldies” 1420 WXGM/102.3 W272EJ Gloucester VA from Marva Robinson’s WXGM Inc. for $450,000. The seller will retain the station’s studio and tower properties and lease them back to the buyer.

Michael M. Stapleford’s Magnum Broadcasting expands its holdings on the Florida Keys with the purchases of Silent 94.3 WGMX and 1300 WFFG Marathon FL from The Great Marathon Radio Company for $150,000. Magnum owns Conservative Talk simulcasters “Keys Talk” 96.9 WKEZ-FM Tavernier and 102.5 WPIK Summerland Key and Dance “Party 105.7” WGAY Sugarloaf Key. The sale filing also notes that Magnum began operating Buddy Shula’s Radio One Key West’s Yacht Rock “Key 93.7” WKEY-FM Key West via LMA for $4100 per month on September 1.

Educational Media Foundation has made a pair of acquisitions in southwestern Virginia. Roger Bouldin’s Bouldin Radio LLC will sell Country 105.5 WSWV-FM Pennington Gap to EMF for $120,000. Bouldin acquired WSWV-FM along with Southern Gospel 1570 WSWV/101.9 W270CB in August 2022 for $65,000. EMF will also purchase 100.5 WZQY Glade Spring/Marion from Ladybug Radio for $100,000. Ladybug Radio is owned by Bouldin’s three daughters, who acquired the station in September 2021 for $60,000.

Two northern Michigan Christian operators will become one as Northern Christian Radio purchases Good News Radio for $1. The stations included in the deal are: Christian 89.9 WLJN-FM Traverse City and 107.9 WLJD Chartlevoix, Christian CHR “Fuel-FM” 95.9 WLJW-FM Fife Lake/105.5 WSRJ Honor, and Christian Preaching “The Source” 1400 WLJN Elmwood Township/104.1 W281CG Traverse City and 1370 WLJW/100.7 W264DQ Cadillac. Northern Christian Radio owns the “Promise FM” network of 90.5 WPHN Gaylore, 91.1 WOLW Cadillac, 100.9 WQHN East Jordan, 102.3 WTHN Sault Ste. Marie, 88.7 W204AQ Newberry, and 99.7 W259AH Petoskey MI.

Larry Langford acquires 100.3 W262AU Dowagiac MI from Progressive Broadcasting System for $55,000. W262AU (with an application to move to 96.7) rebroadcasts Langford’s “MeTV FM” 910 WGTO Cassopolis MI/97.1 W246DV South Bend.
