Station Sales Week of 8/11

A group of staffers are acquiring Country “T100” WCLT-FM, AC “Kate 98.7” 1430 WCLT/98.7 W254CT, and Rock “The Big Lick” 104.7 W284CH Newark OH from Douglas Pricer. General Sales Manager Thomas Bunyard will acquire a controlling 51.3% stake of the company for $1.357 million. Chief Engineer James Ferguson and Program Director Mike ‘Wild Walley’ Schneider will each pay $247,800 for 9.3% stakes. The Barbara Jones Trust retains its 7.5% stake and Spencer Family Trust their 15.6% stake.

Ryan Brown’s MH2 Media acquires Sports “ FanRun Radio” 1340 WKGN/105.7 W289CU Knoxville TN from Hodges Media for $200,000 while SM Athletics LLC acquires the station’s tower land for $250,000. An LMA took effect on July 16.

SSR Communications sells the CP for 100.7 KCAY Dammeron Valley/St. George UT to Michael Gerdes’ Gerdes And Associates for $250,000.

Our Lady Guadalupe Radio donates its five stations in Ohio to Ave Marie Communications. The stations in the deal are 88.1 WHRQ Sandusky, 89.5 WFOT Lexington, 89.7 WNOC Bowling Green, 89.9 WRRO Edon, and 90.9 WSHB Willard.

American Family Association sells 90.1 KEEA Aberdeen SD to Christian Heritage Broadcasting for $50,000.

Daniel Hidalgo’s International JADE Group acquires 1110 WBIB/101.3 W267DA Centerville AL for $130,000.

Translator Sales

WXXI Public Broadcasting Council sells 107.5 W298CH Rochester NY to Ibero American Action League, Inc. for $350,000. The deal includes a one year lease of one of WXXI’s FM-HD subchannels for $1 per month. Ibero American Action League, Inc. owns “Poder 97.1” WEPL-LP Rochester, which will need to be divested at closing.

After its previous sale to Radio Sharon Foundation was withdrawn, Radio Catskill sells 94.5 W233AH Monticello NY to Emisora Cristiana De Paterson for the same $50,000 price. The filing lists Digital Radio Broadcasting Oldies 1340 WALL Middletown as originating station.

GHB Radio sells 92.9 W225BD Statesville NC to Signal Hill Media Partners for $10. W225BD rebroadcasts Statesville Family Radio Corporation’s 550 WAME Statesville.

Great Plains Christian Radio sells 89.9 K210BQ Woodward OK to Libertad En Cristo Ministries for $10,000 to rebroadcast 90.5 KLEC Liberal KS.
