Station Sales Week Of 7/9

Anthony LaGreca and Larry Justice’s L&J Media will pay Ed Perry’s Marshfield Broadcasting $390,000 for Oldies 1510 WMEX Quincy/Boston MA and its CP for 101.1 W266DQ Weymouth. Perry had purchased WMEX in 2017 for $125,000 and had to rebuild the station at a new location leading to the current format launching in May 2020. Justice hosts middays at the station. An LMA took effect last month.

Vic Canales Media Group sells 960 WSVU/101.7 W269DS North Palm Beach FL to Jean Altidor’s United Group Elite Agency Investments for $1.1 million. The stations currently operate as Classic Rock “The Surf” along with 92.5 W223CJ West Palm Beach.

Dale Miller is transferring his stakes in three of West Virginia Radio Corp.’s holding companies to David Raese and John Raese for $314,000 giving them each 50% stakes. Miller will exit the ownership groups of West Virginia Radio Corporation of the Alleghenies, West Virginia Radio Corporation of Raleigh, and West Virginia Radio Corporation of Salem.

Flag Family Media’s Rapids Radio LLC will purchase Classic Hits 1320 KOZY/93.1 K226CV Grand Rapids, AC 96.9 KMFY Grand Rapids and Classic Rock 105.5 KBAJ Deer River MN from Lamke Broadcasting for $1.4 million. The buyers operate two stations in Fargo ND and one in Tioga ND.

Stocks Media sells Classic Rock “95.1 The Mountain” 1450 WDNG/95.1 W236DQ Anniston AL to John F. Kennedy’s Lake Broadcasting for $235,000. Lake began operating the station in April via LMA coinciding with the station’s flip from AC.

Randolph Bell’s The Mighty Seven Ninety Inc. purchases Country “Q-Country 103.9” 790 WCHQ/103.9 W280FN Ashland City TN from Consolidated Media for $160,000. The buyers hold interests in multiple licensees including Sports 560 WNSR Nashville and Regional Mexican “El Jefe 96.7” 810 WMGC/W244CW Murfreesboro.

3 Towers Broadcasting Company purchases AC 94.3 WREB Greencastle IN from The Original Company for $300,000. The buyers, who own two other stations in Indiana, will begin operating WREB via LMA on August 1.

Plonta Broadcasting sells Southern Gospel “Christian-FM” 88.5 WCTP Gagetown and 105.1 W286CI Saginaw MI to Smile-FM for a $25,000 donation to Life of Christ Church.

Translator Sales

Months after closing on its $25,000 purchase of 95.5 W238BY Crisfield MD, Vinco Media turns around and sells the translator to The Voice Radio Network for $50,000. W238BY will rebroadcast Classic Rock “The Vault” 1320 WJKI/102.9 W275CX Salisbury, which is also heard on 103.5 WJKI-FM Bethany Beach DE.

Wendolynn Tellez sells Silent 94.1 K231CZ Austin TX to Charles Crawford’s 94.1 Partnership for $64,000. The translator will rebroadcast 1560 KTXZ West Lake Hills.

Educational Media Foundation sells 107.7 K299AG Rock Springs WY to Hi-Line Radio Fellowship for the legal costs incurred with the filing.
