Station Sales Week Of 6/18

Windhorse Partners LP will abandon its 51.3 percent equity stake in Great Eastern Radio’s fifteen stations and eight translators in New Hampshire and Vermont.

Windhorse currently owns a 90 percent stake in Jeff Shapiro’s Vertical CP, which in turn owns 55.8 percent of the company. For a combined $375,000, Shapiro and the minority partners will restructure their holdings. Shapiro will move from having a personal 19% stake to 51.4% combining the 10% he holds in Vertical CP. Gail and William Goddard will transfer their Electromagnetic Company’s 14% stake to individually held 14.7% shares each . Brian McNeil will increase from a 7% stake to 14.7%. Robert Lipman goes from 2.2% to 4.5%. Finally, Courtney Galluzzo shifts his 2% share to non-voting/non-equity interest.

After completing a three station frequency shift to serve different areas earlier this year, the ownership of said stations are shuffling to match. North Country Radio Corp. first swaps Variety Hits “93.5 Lake George Radio” WPLA Warrensburg/Glens Falls NY to Loud Media for 102.1 WRGR Tupper Lake NY. North Country Radio also purchases 100.7 WSLP Ray Brook from Randy Michaels’ Radioactive LLC for $45,000.

David Hoxeng’s ADX Communications of Pensacola is swapping Country “Cat Country 98.7” WYCT and AC “Playlist 94.5” W233CM Pensacola FL to his wife Mary’s Mary Elizabeth Hoxeng Revocable Trust in exchange for three residential properties held by the trust. The Hoxeng’s also own Sports “ESPN Pensacola” 1330 WEBY/99.1 W256DL Milton and Conservative Talk “NewsRadio 92.3” 1620 WNRP Gulf Breeze/92.3 W222BR Pensacola.

After purchasing Conservative Talk 1410 KKLO Leavenworth/92.7 K224FF Lenexa KS in the Kansas City market last week, Radio Vida Kansas purchases Classic Country “Real Country 1030” KCWJ Blue Springs/Kansas City MO from Stayton Communications for $425,000.

VLB Broadcasting sells Regional Mexican “La Joya 106.9” KQLB Los Banos CA to Nelson Gomez’s Golden Pegasus LLC for $325,000.

Educational Radio Foundation of East Texas expands into Lufkin TX with the acquisition of Hip Hop “Z97.7” KAGZ Burke, 95.9 K240EO Lufkin and 97.3 K247BG Nacogdoches from E-String Wireless for $225,000.

Educational Media Foundation purchases 90.9 WCJL Morgantown IN from Calvary Radio Network for $250,000.

Jay Bunyard’s Carroll County Broadcasting acquires Oldies/AC 100.9 KESA Eureka Springs AR from Northeast Oklahoma Broadcast Network for $350,000. The deal will give KESA contour overlap with the buyer’s Country 107.1 KTHS-FM Berryville and Classic Rock “The Legend” 1480 KTHS Green Forest.

Jimmy Johnson’s Johnson Broadcast Ventures sells 1230 WCBT/102.7 W274AZ Roanoke Rapids NC to Shaunrita Williams’ Shantae Broadcasting Inc. for $41,000. At closing Shantae Broadcasting will receive a 51 percent stake in the station. Upon full payment of the promissory note that stake will increase to 75 percent with Johnson retaining the remainder.

Translator Sales

In a filing missing all pertinent information, Edgewater Broadcasting files to sell 99.1 W256CL Park Forest/Chicago to James White’s Ohana Del Sol Inc. A March 2020 sale of the translator, which has a CP to operate from the Willis Tower with 250w/448m, to Fred Weinberg’s Chicago Translators LLC for $1.9 million never closed.

Spirit Communications sells 90.1 W211BT Athens OH to Friends of 91.3 for $30,000. W211BT will rebroadcast Akron Public Schools’ AAA “91.3 The Summit” WAPS Akron following the sale.
