Beth Mann’s Ham Broadcasting Company purchases Classic Rock 93.9 WKTG, Hot AC “Mad Mix 106” 105.9 W290CR/WKTG-HD2 and Classic Country 730 WFMW/94.9 W235AC/107.7 W299CN Madisonville KY from Robert Kelley’s Sound Broadcasters Inc. for $815,000. Ham owns five other stations and four translators in Kentucky and will begin operating the Sound stations via Time Brokerage Agreement on July 1.
Dirk Nadon’s Lakes Media LLC acquires Classic Hits “The Shore” 1420 WASR/97.1 W246DI Wolfeboro NH from Winnipesaukee Radio Station for $75,000. An LMA took effect on June 12. As part of the deal, Lakes Media will apply for a new transmitter and power reduction to 400 watts daytime and be responsible for the associated costs. WASR will join a cluster that includes Soft AC “Lakes FM 101.5” WWLK-FM Meredith and Classic Rock “104.9 The Hawk” WLKZ Wolfeboro.
Lincoln University sells 88.9 WLNX Lincoln IL to Independent Baptist Media Inc. for $15,000.
Translator Sales
Dimes Media adds an additional signal in San Luis Obispo CA with the purchase of 107.7 K299BE San Luis Obispo from Spirit Communications for $28,000. The translator will rebroadcast an HD subchannel of 106.1 KWWWV Santa Margarita.
Sale Withdrawals
Tim Martz’s Radio Power Inc. has withdrawn its November 2022 donation of 660 WAMO Wilkinsburg/Pittsburgh PA to Pittsburgh Public Media. The donation was made after the station’s translator and programming were sold to Audacy.
Marc Paskin has withdrawn his $500,000 acquisition of 106.7 KNAN Nanakuli/Honolulu HI from Donald Hildre and Bob Kemp’s Big D Consulting.
