Station Sales Week Of 3/17: Dove-FM And Family Life Swap In Pennsylvania

Dove FM DoveFM 88.5 WYVL Jamestown Calvary Chapel RussellFamily Life Ministries is acquiring the Construction Permits for Class B1’s on 89.3 Columbus PA and 88.9 St. Mary’s PA from Calvary Chapel of Russell in exchange for 98.7 W254AJ Erie and $15,000. Calvary Chapel of Russell will also assume Family Life’s lease of 99.9 WXKC-HD3 Erie to feed the translator. CCoR will also purchase 101.5 W268CJ Corry PA from Family Life Ministries for $1. They own a regional “Dove-FM” Christian AC network based at 88.5 WYVL Youngsville PA.

Lightner Communications will acquire News/Talk 95.3 WRSC-FM Bellefonte/State College PA from Jim Loftus’ Covenant Communications in exchange for 1260 WPHB Phillipsburg/104.3 W282CV State College and $100,000 paid in $1000 increments over 100 months. Lightner took over the former WWZW and moved the programming of 1390 WRSC State College to the FM when Seven Mountains Media completed its acquisition of properties from Forever Media in January. At that time Seven Mountains flipped the former “104.3 Jack-FM” WPHB to Classic Country “Bigfoot Country Legends” in a simulcast with 1450 WLEJ (formerly WQWK) and 103.7 W279DK State College.

Radio World Inc. sells Silent 1400 WZHR/104.3 W282CC Zephyrhills FL to Ferris Waller’s Walco Enterprises for $150,000. Walco owns the Classic Country/Oldies “Boss Hogg Radio” network across four other AMs in West Central Florida. The Lola Wagenvoord led Radio World Inc. retains Talk/Standards “Tan Talk” 1340 WTAN Clearwater and 1350 WDCF Dade City FL and Radio Hawaii Inc.’s Talk 1080 KWAI Honolulu HI.

Thaisa Santana’s Trust Investments Group acquires Spanish Christian “Radio Luz” 1160 WRLZ St. Cloud FL from Calvario Church’s Radio Luz Inc. for $600,000.

Educational Media Foundation will enter the U.S. Virgin Islands with the acquisition of 107.3 WVIE Charlotte Amalie VI from RJ Watkins’ Virgin Islands Radio Entertainment Detroit LLC for $150,000. WVIE switched to EMF’s “K-Love” network via Network Operating Agreement on February 28.

A merger of Heartland Ministries Inc. and Pennyrile Christian Community, Inc. will see Southern Gospel 90.5 WVHM Benton/89.1 W206BB Madisonville, Christian CHR “Elevate 89.7” WAAJ Benton, and Contemporary Worshive “Thrive 88.1” WTRT Benton KY transferred to Pennyrile for the payment of outstanding debts.

Translator Sales

Gerald Benavides acquires 102.1 K271BC Burnet TX from Richard Herring for $30,000. The deal lists Bryan King’s 106.5 KAJZ Granite Shoals to remain as parent station for the translator.

Patrick Sullivan sells 95.5 W238CE Montgomery AL to Terry Barber for $75,000. The translator has rebroadcast Barber’s Classic Hits 1250 WRBZ Wetumpka since 2011.
