Colonial Radio Group sells “Carolina Country” 900 WNMB/103.7 W279EH North Myrtle Beach and 98.9 W255BZ/102.3 W272CV Myrtle Beach SC to Jose Lara’s Gorilla Broadcasting Company for $400,000. Colonial recently completed its acquisition of W255BZ and W272CV from Friends of Public Radio for $80,000.

Daryl O’Neal’s Township Media grows in Austin TX with the purchase of Gospel 1060 KFIT Lockhart from Darrell Martin’s KFIT Inc. for $695,000. Township will pay $555,000 for the station assets while co-owned Fortview Ventures LLC will pay $140,000 for the property. Township Media owns AAA “Sun Radio” 1490 KTSN Austin as well as three simulcasting FMs outside the market: 104.1 KMSN Mason, 96.3 KTHE Llano, and 96.3 KGID Giddings. An LMA of KFIT will take place ahead of closing. Once they complete their upgrade of 96.1 K241DA Austin to 96.3 from the West Lake Hills tower farm, which is permanently tied to KTSN, Township will need to originate programming on 100.1 K261DW Austin from another signal with KFIT now filling that role. Mary Lopez’s 103.9 K280GN had been licensed to rebroadcast KFIT, but is not part of this deal.

Moab Communications sells Country “Canyon 97.1” KCYN Moab and Conservative Talk 1490 KCPX Spanish Valley/105.9 K290CS Moab UT to Craig Knott’s AZED 5 Communications for $156,000.

Tom Mogush’s Taconite Broadcasting sells Hot AC “Q107” 107.7 WMQT Ishpeming and “ESPN UP” WZAM Ishpeming/93.3 W227CJ Marquette/106.9 W295CX Marquette MI to the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community for $400,000.

Birach Broadcasting sells Regional Mexican 1490 KXLQ/95.7 K239CR Indianola IA to SIG Salas Investments Group Inc. for $550,000. The buyer has been operating KXLQ via LMA.
