Michael Brandt’s Southern Broadcasting LLC is acquiring five stations from multiple sellers.
For $262,500 for each station, Brandt will purchase Soft AC “Easy 100.3” WYDL Middleton TN from Flinn Broadcasting Corporation, CHR “102.7 Kiss-FM” WWFA St. Florian/Florence AL and Country “The Bee” 96.3 WXWX Marietta/Tupelo MS from George Flinn Jr., and Southern Gospel “102.9 The Eagle” WWMR Saltillo/Tupelo from George Flinn III. Brandt currently operates WWFA and WYDL via LMA.
Southern Broadcasting will also acquire Soft AC “Easy 105.3” 1450 WTKI Huntsville AL and translators 96.5 W243EP Madison and 105.3 W287DH Huntsville from Frederick Holland’s Focus Radio Communications for $400,000. $108,891.61 in LMA payments will be credited to the purchase.
The Bridge of Hope will expand its Christian AC “The Bridge” network further into New Jersey with the acquisition of Public News/Talk 89.3 WNJB-FM Bridgeton/Vineland NJ from WHYY Inc. for $125,000. Bridge of Hope owns 88.7 WKNZ Harrington DE, 92.5 WNKZ Pocomoke City MD, and 105.5 WNJH Cape May Court House NJ. WNJB-FM currently simulcasts Public News/Talk 90.9 WHYY-FM Philadelphia.
Costa-Eagle Radio Ventures will acquire News/Talk 1350 WEZS/103.3 W277DJ Laconia NH from Gary Hammond for $225,000.
Chad Fox’s Local Radio LLC buys AC “Breeze 99.5” KBZQ Lawton OK from the estate of of William Richard Fritsch, Jr. for $265,000. Fox is 50% owner of Fuchs Radio LLC, the owner of five other stations elsewhere in Oklahoma.

Carter Broadcast Group will purchase 106.9 K295CH Kansas City KS from Alpine Broadcasting Corporation for $500,000 . K295CH, which currently rebroadcasts EMF’s 97.3 KLRX Lee’s Summit MO, will be utilized to rebroadcast an HD subchannel of the buyer’s 103.3 KPRS Kansas City.
