A few months after acquiring Hot AC “Winc 105” 104.9 WKDV-FM Strasburg and 105.5 WINC-FM Berryville VA for $225,000, Metro Radio Group is selling 104.9 WKDV-FM to Point FM Ministries for $125,000. The buyer owns Christian AC “90.1 The Point” WVRS Gore/Winchester VA.

Burke Broadcasting sells Classic Hits “97.9 The Buzz” WKZB Newton, News/Talk 102.1 WALT-FM Meridian, and Classic Country “105.7 The Legend” WUCL De Kalb MS to Bryan Holladay’s Meridian Media Group LLC for the assumption of the remainder of the $450,000 note due to Holladay’s uncle Robert Holladay’s New South Communications. The buyer currently serves as General Manager of his father Clay Holladay’s Gulf South Communications in Dothan AL. Clay owns a competing four station cluster in Meridian.

Justin Fluke will gain 100% control of KNZA Inc. by purchasing Gregory Buser’s 51% stake and the Robert B. Hilton and Kay L. Hilton Trust’s 41% stake of the company for a combined $1,813,878. KNZA Inc. owns Oldies 1230 KTNC/107.1 K296HK Falls City NE, Full Service Country 92.1 KMZA Seneca KS, Country 93.7 KAIR-FM Horton KS, AC “Sunny 101.3” KLZA Falls City, and Full Service Country 103.9 KNZA Hiawatha KS,

Educational Media Foundation purchases 88.7 KEZF Grants NM from Vic Michael’s Cedar Cove Broadcasting for $160,000.

Dockins Broadcast Group purchases Country “C106.1” KWKZ Charleston/Cape Girardeau MO from Anderson Broadcasting Company for $415,000.

GFR Inc. sells Oldies 101.7 WTID Graceville FL to Radio Training Network for $250,000.

Weatherford Community College District purchases “Chuck-FM” 88.5 KMQX Weatherford and 102.5 K273CP Mineral Wells TX from CSSI Non-Profit Educational Broadcasting for $500,000.

After its license was surrendered and quickly restored, Portsmouth Abbey School sells 90.7 WJHD Portsmouth RI to Rhode Island Public Radio for $7500.

Talking Information Center sells 88.5 WRRS Middleborough Center MA to Academy of the Immaculate for $85,000. The buyer owns Catholic 88.5 WPMW Bayview/New Bedford MA.

Translator Sales

In addition to the purchase of KEZF, Educational Media Foundation also purchases 90.7 K214DN Cave Creek/Phoenix from Cedar Cove Broadcasting for $160,000 and 103.1 K276GG Colorado Springs CO from Michael’s Mountain Community Translators for the same $160,000.

Crawford Broadcasting sells 97.5 K248DD Portland OR to Kris Bennett Broadcasting for $50,000. The buyers own Adult R&B 1480 KBMS Vancouver WA/Portland, but the sale document lists they will rebroadcast Educational Media Foundation’s 97.9 KLVP Aloha on the translator.

Friends of Public Radio sells 98.9 W255BZ and 102.3 W272CV Myrtle Beach SC to Colonial Radio Group for $80,000. The two translators currently rebroadcast Public News/Talk 91.3 WHQR Wilmington NC, but will be utilized to rebroadcast Colonial’s “Carolina Country” 900 WNMB North Myrtle Beach.
